Does anyone have a link to a site with the complete track listing of every show? i can't find anything, deadbase is already off on the very first show from what is on the cds, so clearly it's not reliable.

For instance, in the first show (04-07-72), they have me and my uncle in the first set on the cd, but deadbase has no mention of that anywhere in the show, and there's a casey jones also on the cd not present in any setlists i can find. does anyone know that the tracklistings on the cds are accurate to the setlists actually performed, or are there some add ins anywhere?

As far as I can tell, the order of the songs on some of the Europe '72 shows doesn't match how they really played them. I think they must have changed the song order to fit them on the discs. Not on all shows, but some. I went through them all and figure this must be the case.

I had about 14 of these shows already that I picked up in various places. These setlists on mine matched everything I could find to compare it to...while the official release's setlists did not. The discrepancies favored my old copies.

I always go to setlists.net first. I like that site.

You'd have to assume that the lead singer progression of the first set- Greatest Story Ever Told, Sugaree, Chinatown Shuffle, Me & My Uncle, China Cat Sunflower (Bob, Jerry, Pig, Bob, Jerry) would be the correct one based on the normal practice at the time.

Like I say, I think it's the official release itself that has the setlists wrong in some spots. It confounded me as well. I can't say for certain, but I've convinced myself of this.

Also, I've heard that there was a song here or there that they "found" which they weren't aware of before...so maybe that's why a couple of few songs aren't on any setlists you might find. Not many of those, though. Don't quote me on this either.

I'd like somebody with authority on these matters to set me straight, really.

all the tracks on the box set are in exactly the order they were played. some of the setlists that have been floating around for years are incorrect. for example, the setlist for the Rhinehalle show was rearranged to fit on 3 cds for the Rockin the Rhien release but on the europe box they had to use 4 to make it fit in original order. the link above to "thebestofwebsite.com" also has the wrong track order for rhienhalle. it shows he's gone, hurts me too and el paso as being part of disc 2 when its actually part of disc 4 on the box.

Yeah, but get this, dude. If you go to official site of the Grateful Dead, the setlist they have for the Rheinhalle show on the site does NOT match the order of songs on the new Europe '72 release. You'd think they'd know what the setlist is, wrong in the past or not, after just releasing this monster. So that makes 4 sources that say the order of that show is wrong on the disc, including the official Dead site.

http://www.dead.net/show/april-24-1972

That's just one example. The site and other places has the second set starting with He's Gone, while the release says Dark Star started the second set. No offense to you (I don't know you) but you'd think you'd find some definitive proof SOMEWHERE. In other words, I'm not ready to take your word for it. Sorry, but only if you are offended, I guess. LOL.

I mean you have TONS of Dead releases that mix up the song order, sometimes to ridiculous degrees. What I like to do is archive my stuff; and when I do, I put everything back in the correct order...unshuffle what they've shuffled, if you will. My favorite is when they stick part of one show in the middle of another and then change the order of the first show on top of that. Confuses me.

Anyway, I hope I haven't fixed what wasn't broken before (I don't think so). But I want to get these songs in the right order if they are not when I archive.
